Welcome to our sustainable hamlet on the shores of enchanting Lake Atitlán in Guatemala, the land of eternal spring. We offer accommodation, meals and wellness services for vacations and retreats. The Seed’s 2.5-acre estate was designed, built and planted by a family; a labour of love to create a unique space to pursue a conscious, sustainable lifestyle – living, learning and working in nature.

Explore our three exceptional eco-homes: Seed Villa the spectacular four-bedroom villa with rooftop terrace, Violeta Cottage, the beautiful two-bedroom house and Mimosa Casita the 100% bamboo one-bedroom cottage.

Across a pioneering four-bedroom main villa and two charming cottages, The Seed’s unique, energy-efficient properties unite luxury with sustainability; contemporary architecture with traditional craftsmanship; local materials with world-leading sustainable systems; and indoor and outdoor living.

Championing bamboo, palo santo and albaricoque, they are operated with solar hot water and sustainable grey water and compost systems. With spectacular design details from statement staircases to custom-made baths and verdant terraces, each celebrates its unique location: designed around breath-taking lake views, night-time stargazing spots or tranquil hillside hideaways. The result is three remarkable, distinctly different properties.

With our spectacular rooftop yoga shala plus our natural plunge pool, traditional Mayan temazcal sauna and endless intimate spots for practice and private reflection, we are wonderfully set up for and well-versed in hosting retreats and courses. We can also arrange access to a huge network of incredible Lake Atitlán-based teachers, healers and practitioners.
